How do I join?
The first and most important task to join Triangle Fraternity is to let us know that you are interested. You can contact us through email, phone, or better yet introduce yourself to us in person. One way to meet us in person is to come to any of the Rush week events. Another way is to stop by the house and talk with some of the guys. Lastly, you will probably see us in your classes wearing a Triangle shirt so you should not hesitate to talk with one of us to find out more information about Triangle.
What is Rush?
Rush is the formal week where you get an opportunity to visit our chapter, meet the members, and show that you have interest in joining. We extend bids at the end of Rush. A bid is a formal invitation to pledge Triangle Fraternity. If offered a bid, you may accept, reject, or defer the bid to another semester.
When is Rush?
Rush occurs during the first few weeks of the fall and spring semesters. Look for flyers, chalkings and our brothers around campus.
What will my pledge semester be like?
If you accept our bid to pledge Triangle, you will begin a semester long process to become an initiated member of the fraternity. During the semester you will learn about the history and values of the Fraternity and most importantly get to know the Brothers of the chapter. This semester is both for you to learn about Triangle as well as for us to get to know you.
Do you Haze?
The short answer, NO! As a Fraternity we don't take an ignorant position, we know hazing happens in the Greek Community but we don't allow it in our Fraternity. We tell all pledges to inform one of our AOB or EC members (see a list here) or the University of Louisville's Greek Office at UofL Greek Life if they feel they are being hazed.
How do I know if Triangle is Right for me?
The best way to find out is to drop by the house and hang out with us. As a brother you will spend a lot of time at the house and with other brothers, you might as well find out if you enjoy yourself there.
What Does it Cost?
Your pledge semester will consist of three payments totaling $400: $75, $125 and $200.
Before becoming a brother you must have a zero balance.
Once a brother, the payments per semester are $275 (this amount is subject to change annually). The payment might be higher than other fraternities but we do not nickel and dime our brothers throughout the year. Most of the things other fraternities charge for are built into the $275.
